Fridge Recipes is an AI cooking assistant that suggests recipes based on what you already have at home. This policy explains what data we collect, why we need it, and how you can remove it.

1. Data we collect

Account data — email address, name and avatar you provide, or the basic profile shared by Google when you sign in with Google.
Cooking data — fridge and pantry items, chats with the AI chef, saved recipes, meal plans, shopping lists, reviews and photos you upload.
Health-related preferences you choose to enter — goal, weight, height, age, activity level and allergies, used only to size portions and calories.
Voice input — audio recorded when you use dictation or hands-free cook mode is sent for transcription and is not stored afterwards.
Payment data — handled by our payment providers (Stripe, PayPal, and the app stores). We never see or store your card number.
Technical data — device type, language, and error logs needed to keep the app working.

2. Why we use it

To create recipes and meal plans for you, keep your history and saved items in sync across devices, run subscriptions and credits, send notifications you enabled, and improve reliability. We do not sell your data and do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. Who processes your data

We rely on service providers acting on our behalf: cloud hosting and database, AI model providers (to generate recipes and transcribe voice), email delivery, and payment processors. They may only process data to deliver their part of the service.

4. Storage and security

Data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit, and access is restricted per user by row-level security rules. Content you publish to the community feed is visible to other users; everything else is private to your account and, if you join one, your household.

5. Your rights

You can access, correct or export your data, withdraw consent, and delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account. Deletion is permanent and removes your profile, chats, recipes, plans, lists and uploaded photos. You may also email us and we will action the request.

6. Children

Fridge Recipes is not intended for children under 13.

7. Changes

We may update this policy; the date at the top always reflects the current version. Significant changes are announced in the app.
